Vehicle Detail
For your consideration is a vintage Honda CB 450 Cafe Racer motorcycle. This motorcycle is part of the “Japanese Invasion” that competed with the British Café Racers (Triumph, Norton, etc.) in the late 60’s and early 70’s. This motorcycle is the 1971 orange model. The motorcycle has been a daily commuter for me for a long time. I am the second owner. The original owner was a University of Tennessee Professor who rode this bike to and from campus for 26 years. The mile are original at 6,529. The bike still retains the last parking sticker from campus. I also have the original Tennessee license plate as well as the original title which will all be included in the sale. The motorcycle was a registered Connecticut antique vehicle (2010) so you might be able to register it the same way in your state. The bike has a great sound to it and really powers through turns. Over the past fifteen years I have put roughly $1,200 into it for maintenance and regular oil changes. The bike is entirely original (including the paint) except for the original side horn and at one time the clutch lever snapped and was replaced with an identical salvaged part. The tank has also been lined. As the pictures show, there is absolutely no rot on this bike. The pipes are in fantastic condition and the chrome really shines. I will note there are some slight “ripples” in the paint around one of the Honda emblems. I have never sold a motorcycle (or vehicle) on Ebay before so you would need to arrange shipping or pick-up in person. Some carriers quote rates at around $500 for national service. Please e-mail with questions or feel free to leave your phone number and I will call you. Since this bike is 40+ years old, it will be sold as-is. Thanks for looking. PS- The Grateful Dead Stealie can easily be removed.
