1954 Ford American LaFrance Fire Engine Originally purchased by the Hamptonburg Fire District in 1954, has been well maintained and garaged. 27,161 original mileage 8 cylinder engine, 6 volt system , truck starts and runs without hesitation; The original hose bed was removed and replaced with tylex decking material and rollers for use in firefighters funeral. All original bed material have been kept and maintained. There is some bubbling of paint on roof of vehicle, but not due to rust; truck was repainted by district. All gold leafing and lettering was done by fire district. Truck still pumps will hold 300 gallons of water
