Vehicle Detail
You are bidding on a nice 1960 Corvair Sedan 700. No Reserve This Corvair 700 was just licensed in Indiana last month. The previous owner said it was stored away in dry climate. The comments were "It is a great example of true solid 1960 Corvair Sedan 700. These 60s cars are rare to locate." The previous own stated that there was only 38,877 miles. I drove it 90 miles so it would show 38,967 miles. Since this is an older car the mileage is exempt so I can not honestly say if it is 38,967 or 138,967 since this odometer only goes up to 99,999 miles. This is a project car even though it is drivable and looks nice. Rear engine and air cooled makes this a very nice car. This cream puff I just purchased from the 4th owner. I have some receipts from the previous own on replacing the battery and battery tray. Air foam filter. Also, the money I just put into the engine on fixing the oil line and oil valve. Everything is in good shape. Tires are fairly new. It is a 12 volt electrical system. The car is pretty much still holding up amazingly and functioning in its original state from 1960. The interior is in good shape for it's age. The seats and dash have not cracks and are in fairly good condition. The seats are the original and have no holes or springs popping out. The cars original radio works, AM stations come in very loud and clear. The locks work. The car fires straight up when you start it...amazing. The only issues with this car are mainly rusts. The major rust appears in the rear end of the car hidden just under the bumper and the floor board on the driver's side. Much of which should be easily taken care of by a committed new owner who would help restore its life back to those GOOD-OLD-DAYS perhaps!!! There are some spare parts in the trunk. Also included is a 1960 Corvair Shop Manual. Great addition to this auction item. Bid with confidence...one line says it all... This car still has SPUNK! Feel free to ask questions if you have any. Thanks for looking Happy Bidding
