1967 Honda S90

For Sale: 1967 Honda S90. This motorcycle was part of a restoration project by the owner (I am posting this for my brother). The owner used to be a Honda motorcycle mechanic for many years, so he knows what he is doing. He had owned several S90s previously and decided to build a “really nice one” for his own personal use. However, he is now in a period of “simplification” in his life, so some of his projects have to go. As such, this S90 is now up for sale. This motorcycle is the product of two separate motorcycles. The mileage is 4,959 and is thought to be correct. However the engine was recently rebuilt and has an oversize piston of 97cc. The bike runs great. Here is a breakdown of the major work: New top-end with new piston and rings. Note: The top end was rebuilt to repair a stripped intake bolt thread (apparently, this is a common problem). Carburetor completely cleaned and rebuilt. The frame was sand-blasted and professionally painted. Brand new stock (Honda) exhaust. New wheel bearings and brake shoes. The wheel hubs have been bead-blasted and polished, the wheels have been re-laced and the spokes polished. (note: Although the rims were polished, they do have some minor dulling and slight pitting in spots, but they are round and true). New seat cover (see pictures). The mirrors were repainted. New air cleaner covers. Included is the stock tool kit and owners manual. Minor Issues: The handlebars are not stock, but BMW R90 “S” bars. The cylinder head cover has a fin cracked off. The headlight rim has some minor pitting. The left air cleaner cover is cracked (they were new when they were installed, but cracked sometime later). The gas tank has tank creme in it. This bike is in very good (but not mint) condition. Please look at the pictures carefully. It will make an excellent bike for anyone who wishes to ride/enjoy it, or it is an excellent starting point for anyone wishing to complete the restoration to bring it back to mint condition.
