Vehicle Detail
Hey thanks for looking! I have a 1963 Chrysler 300 2-Door Hard top here I would like to sell. I picked this car up about 8months ago. It is all original! This is a factory red car with white interior. It had been just sprayed with black primer prior to spotting it. Allow me to take the time to describe its condition. The front bumper has seen better days. The front section of the hood has a dent at the center and towards the driver’s side (as pictured), and the grille assembly is damaged at the passenger side, but the “300” Emblem is still in good condition with no major structural damage! The passenger fender looks pretty straight! However it’s a little rough where the “Chrysler” emblems are supposed to be. The “Chrysler emblem along with the C pillar emblems were missing when I bought it. The passenger side door is pretty straight as well! With the exception of the chrome piece as it have small dings in it. The passenger side quarter looks as though someone attempted to repair it just behind the door and at the lower rear section where most of these old cars collect moisture and rust. The rear section of the body behind the garnish molding is rusted. The bumper needs minor straightening and refinishing and the garnish molding is heavily pitted, but straight as far as structural condition goes. I was told by the guy I purchased it from that the inside of the trunk floor is rusted out, so they covered it with carpet. The driver side quarter is also rusted at the rear lower section at stated earlier like the passenger side. It has a couple of small dings just above the tire and towards the front of the wheel opening. The driver side door has a few small ding that are nearly un-noticeable. The passenger side fender appears to be pretty straight, along with the roof of the car. Now for the interior, the center console was missing when I found the car, but the front and rear seats are still there! The front seats show some wear (as pictured). The rear seat has no tears or rips as if it was hardly used! The instrument cluster and all the dashboard buttons are there with the exception of the heater controls’ off button. The Headliner has a tear on the driver side at the C pillar. The package shelf behind the rear seat is wavy and the paint on it is pealing. The lower door panels are worn on both sides. The front and rear floor pans still look pretty solid. The engine compartment. This is a 383 car with a 727 transmission. I was told this is the original engine and tranny. I drove this car home when I bought it and it runs very smooth! And idles really well for how old the carburetor is! It shifted great when I drove it home with no slips or tranny problems to be concerned about. The power steering pump works but looks as though it leaks near the clamp on the return hose. The wheels are Outlaw I. The front wheels are 15x8 with 265/50R15. The rear wheels are 15x10 with 295/50R15 These 63 300 2Doors are pretty rare! This car would make a cool restoration project as it does need some attention and TLC!
