Vehicle Detail
This is a very rare TR-6C model restored by the late Dick Brown. Dick sold several of his concours quality restorations in 2004 at the Daytona Vintage auction where I purchased this bike for my museum. This is as correct and original high pipe Trophy as you'll ever see. Dick was well known for his METICULOUS restorations. Everything on this bike is correct for the 1967 year model. If you're a Triumph guy you know how rare these bikes were then, and even more so now. Almost all of the "C" models were used up in the desert, the woods, or on the track. It has lived in my museum since '04. I've never ridden it, although it was started and ran in September. I have a '68 "C" model that is nowhere near as correct and appealing as this one, so when I have the desire to feel like Steve McQueen, I ride the '68. Even non-Triumph enthusiasts get all drooly over these bikes. This is truly a museum quality investment. Georgia does not issue titles on vehicles of this age, but it will be sold with a valid and current Georgia registration certificate and bill of sale. I reccommend Federal Allied Motorcycle shipping as they will pick it up here. I will assist in anyway possible but the buyer is responsible for shipping costs. Someone will ask why I'm selling this bike. In the last year or so I have sold bikes of which I have more than one example or am not riding on a regular basis. Please do not ask about buying any of the other bikes in the collection. The ones that I can bring myself to part with will be listed in the next few months on ebay. Payment must be wire transfer, cashiers check, (or cash in person only). In no case will the bike leave my building with full payment having cleared the bank. On Oct-17-10 at 08:50:03 PDT, seller added the following information: I've had several people ask me if the bike has matching numbers. I should have mentioned that in the add. The serial number listed in this add is visible on the left side of the frame neck and on the left side of the engine case. I have a legible photo of the engine number but I can't seem to get a photo of the frame number to completely show the entire number since it's on a glossy black surface. This bike has always been a TR6C model. I will guarantee the numbers to be correct.
