Up for your consideration is a classic 1971 VW Karmann Ghia Convertible project car. It has been in storage since the mid 90's. The car needs a full restoration. The car is mostly original and complete. I carefully removed the floor pans a few years back. I've laid out the parts that are not currently on the car for viewing. The top mechanism is complete, but needs new pivots and canvas, but the RARE rear glass window with defrost is in great shape. It's on sun-bug rims - if i can find the center caps and lug nut covers i'll throw them in. All 4 tires are shot, but I think that they will hold air to get onto a flat bed. The front had been hit at some point and will need metal work. Windshield and Chrome trim are good. Side windows are good. Engine and transaxle are there and worked just fine when it was parked (cruised it on the freeway regularly). I believe the engine to be a 1600 dual port. I have no idea what the actual miles on the engine are. The engine does turn around with a wrench, but this hasn't been cruising for 15+ years. The front end is a 2" lowered adjustable front beam. There is some light surface rust on the body from stripping off some of the paint. The car does show some small rusty spots, mostly battery area but a few little holes here and there. The rockers are in good shape as well as the bottom of the doors and heater channels, and windshield channel. I would consider this to be a body man special or a VW enthusiast project car.
