Vehicle Detail
This is a gorgeous example of a 1986 Chevrolet D10 Military Blazer, Diesel 4X4 CUCV M1009. This truck was purchased from an authorized dealer who buys decommissioned military vehicles directly from the government. The mileage is DOT confirmed original miles at the time of sale to the dealer. Yes it really does only have 50K. once you see it you will believe it as well. The truck is a daily driver, and it runs fabulous. here is a little info about these heavy duty trucks: Desgined for military use by Chevrolet Motors the CUCV Blazer employs a Diesel 383 cubic inch motor linked to a TDH 400 3 speed transmission with "gov lockers" on the front wheels to engage the 4X4 mode. The suspension is the 3500 series and is set up to tow. A govt. pintle hook is attached, as is all the wiring for that. The engine electrical system uses a dual battery, 24 volt, 2 super duty alternator system to fire up. the glow plugs are industrial use 24 volt plugs. the voltage is then stepped down past the firewall to standard 12 volt for powering the cabin, and all accessories. This thing ALWAYS fire right up without hesitation. The oil has been changed every 3k, and the radiator has been flushed and all the hoses changed. it runs great! The interioir is standard military, with heavy duty sound dampening rubber matting on the floor, and two seats! The glass is all in good shape, and there are no cracks in the dash, and one small two inch tear in the drivers seat pad. other than that the interior is Uncle Sam perfect. The interior even has two M16 racks in the back seat and the radio mount up front on the dash, with all the wiring intact. The lighting system features switches that allow you to operate the vehicle with no lights at all (brake lights too). and it even has a switch for "Blackout" mode which turns tiny yellow and red LEDs on in the bumper on so you can follow in convoy. This was origianlly a convoy vehicle so it did not see hard offroad use. The body is clean with no dents, and more importantly NO RUST. This vehicle was decomissioned from Fort Sam Houston, Texas where is spent it's whole life, so NO RUST anwhere, even underneath it. It is primed black, and you can return it to it's original military green, or enjoy it as is. I have changed all the lights, and light housing on the vehicle to brand new ones, so they are bright and clear and look great. This veicle starts right up, runs great does not smoke, or hesitate, and shifts great. I love it, but I am moving, and the new place doesn't quite have room for a big vehicle. Obviously for a vehicle this age it is sold as is, and I have it for sale locally so it may go first, but if you have any questions at all please feel free to call me. Thanks and happy bidding, Jeff 214-577-8930
