Vehicle Detail

I am selling my 1968 Custom Mustang Fastback that I purchased about 6 months ago. I have no time to work on the car and have decided to sell it instead of continuing to look at it in my garage. This is project car that was started by the previous owner several years ago. The car is not far from being finished but does need a little more work. I have not touched the car but have purchased some parts needed to finish the car. The car runs and drives. The previous owner had over $65,000.00 in the car with over $10,000.00 in the motor and heads (I have the receipt for the motor work excluding the aluminium heads). Below is a list of what is done to the car and what is left to be completed. 1. Car was stripped to the metal and all rust was replaced with new metal and panels. This included fenders, firewall, 1 piece floor pan, rear seat and trunk pan, inner fenders and quarters. The only orginal metal on the car is the roof, doors, rear quarters and tail section. 2. Car was painted silver basecoat/clearcoat with dark gray strips (I have the paint codes). Car still needs to be wet sanded and polished but looks amazing. There is no fiberglass and the hood is a steel cowl hood. 3. Motor is a Ford 351w stroked to a 427. Motor made 517hp @ 5200 and 554 lbtq @ 4100. Motor was built by Engine Machine Service LLC in Potterville, MI. It has edlebrock aluminum heads, demon 850 carb, msd ingnition and dist., bore is 4.040 and stroke is 4.170, hyd roller and timing is at :38. I am not sure what type of rods, piston or bolts were used but I do have the build receipt. The car has a built C4 auto with a shift kit and 2200 stall. In order to be streetable the builder put 2:30 gears in the rear. There is a March pully system with a simple alternator and water pump set up. There is a griffen radiator and large fan. 4. There is a custom tubular subframe up front with a Mustang II cross member. There are tubular A-arms and coilovers. There a drilled and slotted rotors with 2 piston calibers. The car has manual rack and pinion and manual brakes. 5. The rear end is ford 9" that has been narrowed 1 inch and has a 35 spline axel. There is a triangular 4-link with adjustable coilovers. The rear frame rails are custom and moved in 1inch and raised to achieve that low ride height. The inner wheels tubs were cut out 1 inch. The rear floor pan is custom made for the new rails. The drive shaft is aluminum. The rear has 2 piston caliblers with disc brakes. The exhaust is 2 1/2 strait pipes with flowmasters mufflers not yet installed. 6. As for the interior, the dash is all metal and custom with carbon fiber gauges. There are two leather adjustable racing seats. The rear pan is dynomated. There is no carpet, door panels, headliner or interior panels in the car as of now. I purhcased a new headliner with rods and windlace but have not installed it yet. A carpet kit and door panels needs to be purchased. There is also a B&M shifter. I have also purchased a 50ft roll of mat to finish the front floor section. There are new billet door and window handles as well as wippers. There is a flaming river tilt steering column with a really nice wood steering wheel. 7. I have all the glass for the car including a new windsheild and rear window in clear. The doors have glass and the roll up and down easily. 8. There is either a 16 or 22 (can't remeber) gal fuel cell in the trunck along with a optimum battery. 9. Other parts I have purhased is a new grill assembly and billet grills. There are new sequential tail lights and bezels but the lenses still need to be purhased. I have also purhased all new trim for the front and rear window. I also have brand new front and rear bumpers with all necessary hardware. 10. The wheels are chrome 17" five stars. Fronts are 235/45/17's and the rears are 285/4017's. Bfgoodrich's are practically brand new. As for what is left to be done: 1. Install headliner and windlace and then install windshield, rear window and trim. Car needs mirros also. 2. Finish laying the dynomat and install carpet kit and door panels. I have interior panels but they need to be painted black. They are currently white. 3, Paint front valance and install. Install new billet grill and housing. Wet sand and polish car. Install new tail lights. Install new door and trunck locks (included). 4. Install new bumpers and hardware. 5. Install mufflers and finish exhaust. 6. Tune carb. I am sure I am forgeting something but I have been as honest as I can be and tried to be even more accurate. The previous owner was building the car with a dual purpose. To be able to drive it on the street and possibly strait to the drag strip. The only miles on the motor are from dynoing the car and a test drive by the previous owner and myselft. This car is a BEAST. When this car is finished you will have a nice custom mustang for very little money. The preivous owner simply ran out of funds after years of putting money into his project. I purhcased it with hopes of finishing what he started but I have found that I simply don't have the time and would like to see someone finish the car and enjoy it. Whoever buys this car will be getting the car for about a 1/3 of what is currently invested. The original builder of the car is Tuckey Insane Customs. You can view the build on his website at: http://www.tuckeyinsanecustoms.com/gallery.php?p=gallery&d=68_Mustang_Fastback. I also have a book of photos documenting the build. He is the guy who built the subframe and did all the bodywork and mechanical installation. If you have any question please feel free to contact me. I will try to be as helpful as I can but I must warn you, I only have so much info and am not extremely knowledgable when it comes to cars. I have a clean and clear title in hand.
