MG MIDGET 1975. First 1500 generation, rubber bumpers, very nice car. I bought it in the summer of 2005 with the intention of restoring, but time and priorities changed. My loss is your gain. Here is the bad: Engine runs strong, but definitely needs new gaskets. My intention was to do a full teardown and rebuild. Engine ran when I brought it home, but previous owner confirmed the main gasket was bad. Hood was rusted beyond repair. I began the teardown and the electrical system is heavily corroded. Typical of english cars. The driver floorpan is solid, and the trunk panels over the rear axles have been replaced. The firewall has weak spots located under the windshield. The Good: The seats are in good condition, including all the interior and I have all of the parts. The engine ran well, however, I ran it only a short time, because took parts apart to rebuild and paint the motor, I never finished. Tires are good also. The car looks good but I recommend a good paint job. Bear in mind, this is a 35 year old vehicle. Odometer reading from the title states 43427. Actual mileage may be more, As I am at least the 2nd owner, I have to assume that is not accurate. Email questions. I have more pictures and will be happy to forward any that you ask for.
