If you are mechanically inclined, this is a great car. If you are not, this is not a great car! This car has been my project for a few years. I have tinkered with it many long nights. Some issues are: NEW ISSUE when the car starts after sitting overnight, it seems like it's getting too much gas as it runs rough and black smoke comes out the tail pipe. After you rev it up, it smooths out but it will have a high idle for about ten minutes. Also has a power steering leak coming from the rack (I did add some sealer and that has slowed the leak considerably). I have a used rack waiting for install. The starter makes a funny noise for about two seconds after the car starts. It could probably use a valve job, and some exhaust work, too. Cruise doesn't work, air doesn't work, electric top doesn't work. Second gear will grind if the RPMs are really high coming out of first gear. Also, the back seats have rips and tears. BUT.. It drives wonderfully and is a very clean car, and the top is nice with no leaks at all. It does come with the convertible top boot, too. I drove this car from Wisconsin to Cali and back to Wisconsin about two years ago with no issues driving it. It just needs some attention now. You could easily drive it home in the mechanical condition it's in. Email me with any questions and thanks for looking!
