up for sale is my 1971 r60 bmw motorcycle.i bought this bmw last spring off a man in dayton ohio,he had owned the bike about 6 years,and the bike had not been rode for about 2 years.he had put a new battery in this spring,and the bike started up fine.i took the bike to a bike shop in athens that works on vintage bikes and had the bike gone over.the had to flush out the gas tank rework the pitcocks,rebuild the carbs,put new back tire on,new wheel bearings,seals,new races,change all fluids,adjusted all cables and got the bike runnind good.i then took the bike to the bmw shop in lancaster ohio who specialize in vintage bmws and had them go over bike.they synced the carbs fixed the starter button and made all adjust like valves,timing.final carb adjustment,plugs and anything they thouhgt it needed.they said the motor sounds great and the bike rides and shifts good.the bike does not smoke.the paint looks good with a few scratchs and nicks here and there.the seat is orgional and in great shape,the seat pins have been removed at one time on the frame,so you can take seat up without taking right side bag off everytime.the saddle bags and tour pac need repainted there is a luggage rack and a wind shield that came with bike also.the speed o and tack dont work. the speed o reads 17,800 miles on it and the title says 24,115 on it.the right side muffler has a couple of small holes but still sound quit,and look good.the wheels and spoks look great.the the bike is not perfect but looks and runs great.ready to ride anywhere.if any questions just ask. hate to sell but my truck got totaled and i need a new one.
