1964 FORD GALAXIE 500 2DOOR V8 AUTOMATIC ********** NO RESERVE ********** You are lookng at a clean 1964 FORD GALAXIE 500 2 DOOR with a V8 and AUTOMATIC TRANSMISSION. This vehicle was the pride and joy for over 13 years of a local gentleman who restored it himself. He said the motor is a 390 V8 but because from what we have been informed you cannot tell the difference between a 390 and a 352 unless you take them apart we will not guarantee the if this is a 390 or a 352. The previous owner was at the age and health that he no longer felt like doing the car shows and upkeep so he and his wife traded it in on a new truck. This car has an older restoration that as stated above he did himself. The car looks good and drives great but is not a perfect show car. The frame and chassis including the floor boards and trunk pan appear to be the original and are in good condition. The interior appears to be mostly original and is in good condition considering it's age. The car starts and runs great. All of the gauges and lights work as they should. The paint has a nice shine and depth but the finish is not the best. Not being a professional body man the paint has some orange peel and some inperfection in the finish. I recently took the car the a large car show and it did get some head turns and compliments but by no means was best of show. Overall this will make someone a fun, inexpensive driver or with some work could be a very nice collector car. CONDITION: EXTERIOR: Nice looking car but not a perfect show car. The chrome looks nice and the paint color and shine looks good but not a high quality job. The underneath side of the car was undercoated when they truely used the good stuff so the frame, trunk, and floor pans look good. There appear to be some body filler in the quarter panels but still looks good. There are some scratches and chips in the paint in the bottom of the right door and rocker panel in which I did this weekend at the car show ( seen in pictures). Overall this is a good car that you can be proud of but it just needs some more time spent on the fit and finish. INTERIOR: Mostly original and considering the year still looks good. The interior looks very nice for the year. DRIVETRAIN: Starts runs and drives great. The odometer reads 23335 but we asume it is 123,335 miles. However do to the age of the vehicle we must sell it to be mileage exept. This car is alot of fun to drive. We are listing this car with NO RESERVE.
