Vehicle Detail
Hey everyone, I'm sadly selling my Ford Contour SVT, but it has to go! It's a 2000, T-red exterior, tan interior, with ~88,000 miles. It's been a faithful daily driver for me for ~60,000 miles then about a year ago it seems the clutch gave out. It sat for a few months as I awaited to fix it, but now my parents are moving and so there's no room for it. The engine ran great when the clutch gave out, but after sitting for a few months, now it won't start. Cranks but doesn't turn over, I think it's the fuel pump (no pump noise on startup). The Good: Relatively low miles body in good shape aftermarket Y-pipe no rust K&N drop in filter new water pump ~15k ago passed NJ inspection and still good through July 2011 The Bad: needs clutch needs fuel pump paint is chipped in spots especially front bumper minor ding on passenger side when coworker backed into car carpet burn on driver side footwell Check engine light is on The Weird: Has 3 second generation wheels (E1) and 1 first generation wheel (E0), E1 front brakes on one side and E0 on the other (I'm including a full set of E0 calipers never got around to installing), temperature gauge doesn't work, tinted rear windows and deck but not on front windows, originally had a NY salvage title when I bought it at 26k professionally repaired, and now is titled in NJ. These Contour SVTs are great cars and fun to drive though they are getting rarer and rarer. I would keep this car and repair it, but unfortunately I do not have the space for it. With a new clutch and fuel pump this car will be well worth the money. Car is being sold AS-IS however, so please be aware when bidding and serious bidders only. Car is not driveable so it will have to be towed. Car must be picked up within 30 days of auction end. I've try to be as descriptive as possible, but if you have ANY questions, please ask! Thank you and good luck bidding!
