This 1957 Oldsmobile Starfire 98 has been partially restored to original condition with the exception of the removal of the rear door handles which gives the car a sleeker appearance for a 4 door hardtop. It has been repainted a classic red and white. The engine is a rebuilt 371 V8, barely driven since the rebuild. The tires are new, new headliner, new exhaust, new weatherstripping, and numerous other new parts, both front and rear bumpers have been rechromed. The car has working power windows, power steering and power brakes. The AC is not working but we do have 2 compressors for it. I have listed the miles as 200 to reflect the mileage on the built engine. I will be happy to answer any questions you may have, just contact me through e-bay. On Sep-29-10 at 18:37:30 PDT, seller added the following information: I want to make a clarification on the milage, the cars speedometer shows 19,000 plus miles, on an old car like this I can't be sure of what the mileage is. The mileage I have stated are the miles driven since the engine was rebuilt. Also please note that the interior of the car appears to be original, it's condition is very good but far from perfect. The headliner is new and seats and door panels appear to have the original upholstery, so it is old. Just want to make sure that is clear. The heater is not hooked up, we didn't drive it in cold weather so just didn't do that. The interior of the trunk also needs restoration. Other items that have been done to the car include, the carburator has been rebuilt, new brake cable, new front and rear window seals, center U joint and hanger have been replaced, pinion bearing and seal replaced, right side outer rear wheel bearing and seal replaced, the power windows switches were rebuilt, over $1400 spent to get the power windows working, they still need some alignment. The car has power seats but they are not hooked up but all the parts are there. There are numerous other items that have been done in the partial restoration. I just want to be sure you noted this is a very nice PARTIALLY RESTORED car.
