From a hardtop to a convertible in 15 seconds. I have owned some of these other fast cars, and this is by far the absolute fastest rocket I have ever driven. It has never been raced or abused, however I have run from 35 to 140, in the length of an interstate on ramp a few times and the acceleration and torque are unbelievable!! The engine badges are "640" however all the documentation I have found indicate "ONLY" 610 Horsepower. The RENNTECH exhaust system sounds great. The sound is more like a Ferrari or Lamborghini. This is one of the few super cars without the super insurance premiums. The VIN numbers on other high horsepower cars increase the premiums a lot, however when KLEEMAN does all the modifications the stock VIN number is NOT changed, therefore the insurance premium is based on the stock SL 55 AMG. Kleeman documents indicate that all the engine modifications will cost you around one mile per gallon. It is not for the faint hearted, and I will NOT sell to a young or inexperienced driver, as it can come out from under you without the traction control on. I have sold many expensive cars, boats, and motorhomes on Ebay, and ALL buyers have been well pleased. PLEASE CHECK OUR FEEDBACK. In order to keep our 100% feedback, I have taken this car to our local MERCEDES DEALERSHIP AND HAD A COMPLETE INSPECTION COVERING all 36 systems, which is available to prospective buyers. NO expense was spared to assure the car is 100%. the only items remaining were- #1 the tel aid system, (Mercedes version of onstar) is analogue, and their new system is digital, and- #2 the car alarm is not at the decibel level as new. BEWARE of low priced SL55 cars. Very few can pass the complete dealer inspection, this car has gone through. CLEAN CARFAX - NO SMOKE!! Garaged and detailed every week. This interior package is rare, and looks like new, with the red stitching accents over black. Paint is excellent for an 04 and would probably rate at a 9. Under the front spoiler the normal road chips have been touched up and are not noticeable.Please see photos Front tires are brand new, and rears are around 75% remaining.The KLEEMAN MATS are still kept in dealer plastic. The car has the BLACK SERIES badges however it is NOT a Black series (over $200,000) even though it looks and runs like one, for about 20% of the price. The only negative about this car, has been the delays that are often caused in parking lots from people wanting to take pictures and asking many questions. The VIN on this car is NOT changed when KLEEMAN does all the upgrades, therefore the insurance premium is THE SAME AS A STOCK SL 55AMG. I hope this answers your questions.
