Well here it is a "1985 Mustang Convertible" this is a restorable car. Mustang collectors this is your chance to own a restorable 1985 MUSTANG CONVERTIBLE. I bought this last spring with a plan to restore this myself. What I liked about it from the start was the price. I bought this for under $1,000. When the owner started it it fired right up no smoke. The transmission worked fine. The convertible top worked great mechanically. Now it needs some work. I will list of the "working" and "needs repaired" are listed below. If I had my way I would restore this myself but I just was told by my wife that this has to be sold. She, pointed out that I have enough "Honey Do's" plus "Have To Do's" without restoring a car. So I guess she is right. Now without to much work this car could be driven daily. I started the bid low and set a low reserve. Someone will get a great Mustang "Bid Now" or just use the "Buy It Now" - either way good luck. Mileage listed is what is on the odometer. The title shows exempt due to Indiana law. Working *Engine starts and seems to run ok *Transmission Shifts Fine and has no slipping *Covertible Top goes up and down fine *Rear Convertible window glass no cracks *Both rear windows good no cracks *Tires are up and can be used to move the car - see note below *New Brake Shoes Rear and Disc Brake Pads Front - just installed * Note: That all that I have listed above and below is to the best of my knowledge and "No Warranty" is implied. That said I have been honest in everything I have stated above and below. Needs Repaired Battery missing but with a jumper box I can start to show that the engine starts and runs great Tires are usable but need replaced for any long term use Brake pedal goes to the floor - now the pads and shoes are new so this could be air in the lines or? Needs both fron side windows replace - junk yard prices $50 each Exhaust system bad - needs replaced from Y back Front seats have some wholes and need repaired Top needs replaced Paint and Body work needed - some rust and drivers side door post broke and needs repaired Now if someone wanted to just fix this to the point it could be driven then: It needs a battery It needs the exhaust repaired It needs the brakes fixed It needs both front side windows replaced It needs tires for long term use This will make someone a Great Mustang! Some restoration and some TLC this will be worth it. The engine seems very good.. oil is clean - transmission seems good... oil is clean - radiator has good clean antifreeze in it... the top goes up and down just fine.. Steers good - power steering fluid level good. No known fluid leaks except for valve cover gaskets.
