This car started life as a 1966 GTO hardtop (PHS documentation) and was re-bodied / converted to a convertible in the 1970’s by a former body shop mechanic / owner. It has a factory boxed frame. Not a show car, but it is a very nice driver. The car needs some minors items to complete (see the list below), but it is ready to be driven anywhere. $16,000. Details: VIN 242176P239864 Frame off restoration completed in 2006 Frame was glass bead blasted and painted with POR-15 389 motor out of 1966 Pontiac Bonneville with approximately 35k miles (era correct). Runs smooth with good oil pressure. Professionally rebuilt Powerglide transmission New convertible top Rebuilt front suspension New body mounts New brake booster New stainless steel brake lines and fuel lines Recored radiator Cragar SS wheels with BF Goodrich TA radial tires (like new) All OEM sheet metal, except for front passenger fender. OEM front and rear bumpers (rechromed) All trim in very good condition Title in hand – free and clear Needed to finish: Windshield wiper motor (may be the switch) Windshield washer bottle needs installed Turn signal switch (it’s functional, but touchy) Slight oil leak (rear main seal, valve cover?)
