1977 Pontiac Grand Prix - LJ Motivated - we've lowered the already low reserve! The Good...Originally a South Carolina car, it was brought to Illinois in 1989 and restored from top to bottom to being as an award winner. This was originally a 400 motor car. Restoration included a 1974 rebuilt 400c.u. motor to what was 'super-duty' specs for the engine in that year (mild cam, gear drive instead of timing chain, HEI distributor) . Motor has approximately 50k on the rebuild (on the car, over 100k). Rebuilt Turbo 400 trans w/shift kit. Newer dual exhaust with nice rumble. The car was completely taken apart and painted 1988 Trans-Am red in the early 90's. Bumpers have been re-chromed. Sits on 15" Rally II's and Goodyear tires. Could use some new shocks, otherwise drives straight and tight. Interior is black velour w/buckets and console. No heat/cold cracks in the dash or console. Also has original the original GP am/fm 8-track stereo! New parts include alternator, battery, fuel pump, and Edelbrock 600 cfm carb. Have all receipts for work done during (and since) initial restoration! The Not-So-Good...There was a small and brief fire under the hood. All wires are fine, but vacuum lines for heater control need replacing. Hood has two scorch spots on it and vinyl top scorched a bit too. Previous owner side-swiped his garage trying to pull the car in, so their is damage on the passenger side (wheel wells, door, fender). Passenger side rocker molding is twisted (will include). Both bumpers need some straightening. Drivers side mirror needs glass. This car is also listed locally. We reserve to the right to cancel this auction if necessary. Ask questions before you bid!
