Vehicle Detail

1964 Ford Fairlane Project Sports Coupe-289-4-Speed. This was a great year for the Fairlane. It has a very solid body with all the sports coup chrome intact, but was taken off and cleaned before car was painted. The side molding is way better than average, None missing.. It was never around any saltwater or harsh winters. Car was originally red, and was painted a year ago with base coat clear, Very little body work was done. Original paint was just faded bad.. Hood was not painted because I had planned to put a Crites Thunderbolt Teardrop scoop on they really make these cars look awesome. I still have enough paint in case someone wants to paint it red. I personally like the scoop with the black out look. Now about the engine and transmission. This is a c-code car. Clear Miss title. It came 289-3-speed. Engine and transmission were pulled many years ago and stored in a garage, and a Hi-peform K-car 289 and 4-speed was installed and was kind of daily driver, weekend street racer. Long story short, the Hi-Perfo was blown up several years ago and car was parked in a shed until me and a friend of mine rescued it. The 289 hi performance was lost at a speed shop, long gone, but i got the original 1964-289 engine and put it back in car. Engine turns over and will almost crank, but wouldn't. I bought a new starter and solenoid, and have not messed with it since. I am selling it not running; My plans were to drive it around some with stock engine while building another 289- hi-performance.. I had located a few pieces, but we just haven't had the time or the money. The 4-speed still works well and is still intact, complete with drive shaft as you can see in the pictures. Old original gas tank was removed and center section of trink floor was removed and replaced with flat metal floor for fuel cell. That was the only cutting ever done on this car, neat Job. Frame rails are all solid and original floors, floor pans are original and have had minor repairs on rear ones.. I do have original backseat for car. I also have all four dog dish. I could go on and on describing this project car, but it would better for you to call me for a better description, and to avoid any misunderstandings. Must be paid for in full within 7-days end of auction, By certified bank check or cash in person. Bank check must clear my bank before car is released. No Exceptions. I am not around the computer very much so please call 601-473-9278. This car is at my house and safe. Therefore buyer does not have to rush pick up. It is not in my way, but must be paid for in full within 7-days end of auction. Thanks I am right off I-55 or i-20 for easy pick up.
