Vehicle Detail
The most expensive and luxurious vehicle Benz built in it's day. More powerful than your average Benz diesel because it has a 6-cylinder engine, the rest of the 300 series have 5 cylinders. I've been running it on biodiesel for years and it purrs like a kitten. I never cease to marvel at how well this car is designed, how quiet it is inside, how it can cruise at highway speeds and feel like you are at home on an easy chair. 28-32mpg fuel economy, better gas mileage than just about any car this size. 8k miles on the new tires, a new radiator, and new injectors, newish battery. The sunroof works great, as do all the power windows, heat, stereo, defrosters, interior and exterior lights, etc... 183k miles, should run for four times that. Tabs recently renewed, paid in Washington state until July 2011. (Emissions tested this year, passed w/o any problem as always). This car had one owner, in Arizona. It was maintained it's entire life by a pro Mercedes shop. When he bought himself a new Benz he gifted his old one to the mechanic. The mechanic sold it to me. I was going to run it as a biofuels limosine service, but then I moved to europe. I use it for a few weeks a year and store it the rest of the time. It's about time I just sold it, doesn't make sense to keep it anymore. The paints is original, and is now losing it color on the top and hood. No rust, no holes, no body damage, just fade spots due to sun/rain exposure. Could use a new coat of paint. Interior is tan leather. The seats are not worn out, very comfortable, front seats have multipoint electronic adjustment. One foremost rectangle of leather on the front seats is cracked and should be either re-apolstered or seat-covered. It sat in the Arizona sun for too long, and sun fell only on the front part of the front seats, the rest of the leather is mint condition. I got so used to small european cars that I bumped into someone at a traffic light at 2mph, results: the front grill slightly dinged, cracked the plastic on the fog lights, and poked a whole in the radiator, I had the radiator replaced, and can live with the other minor cosmetic stuff, although it could be easily replaced. That is the only body damage (which isn't actually body, but rather parts) otherwise it's totally straight.
