PLEASE look at all the pics in this auction, a ton of time, effort, blood, sweat, and tears went into restoring this spectacular bug along with the ad in this auction. Everything is here for you, over 50 pictures, and and a FULL video showing the car running and driving. Oval window bugs are one of the most highly sought after VWs on the market today. In my humble opinion, I prefer 55 and earlier like this one. THIS CAR COMES WITH THE ORIGINAL OWNERS MANUAL, THE GERMAN WOLFSBURG BIRTH CERTIFICATE, and A TON OF RECEIPTS. ENGINE: - Newly rebuilt correct 1192cc 36hp engine installed, that magical German sound chirps in all its glory. She runs perfect down the road with no shimmies, shakes or Hiccups. The engine was completely rebuilt from ground up: - steam cleaned (all grime and gunk was blasted off) - new pistons, rings, pins, and cylinders - new bearings - reground crank - new cam - gaskets - valves - guides - pushrods & tubes - bushings - new carb - New Clutch, Pressure Plate, Throw Out Bearing - All engine Tins coated Jet Black - Fresh oil, full tune up, ready to roll. - New Points, cap, rotor, wires, plugs, and all valves adjusted as well, U NAME IT! I have all the receipts to back up the engine rebuild. She has little mileage on her, under 10k. EXTERIOR: This classic is in excellent cosmetic condition with a paint job (within the last couple years) in the original VW L232 Iris Blue. A show bug that will draw attention everywhere you go, just be prepared to clear the shelves to rack up the trophies, we already have a few for ya. Tootle around town or show her at a cruise night, this car will only appreciate in value! This car has been driven to and from car shows two to three hours at a time, I would not hesitate to drive her to Cali from NY. Since this car has been driven (only to shows), you may find some very very minor imperfections, but nothing that will deter you from taking her to a show, they are very small, my camera can't even pick them up, the car is still winning trophies. After every drive she is stored in a climate controlled environment. The Cali body and chassis are incredibly dry, all original panels, floors, fenders, hood, decklid, rockers, and doors. I have many receipts to parts ordered, here is just a small list below of what is new. - Great paint job, base coat, clear coat - All new brake shoes, lines, master cylinder, wheel cylinders - New Front WolfsBurg West Chrome Bumper, original rechromed rear. - New Tail pipe - Original Outside Mirror - All New Window Seals. - New Radial Tires w White Walls, new hubs, and X Pattern beauty rings - New German Stainless Moldings - New Door Seals, felt channels, window scrapers inside and out. - New body Seals - New Fender Beads - New Gravel Guards - Headliner Storage Net - New VW Mud Flaps - Original headlight and front blinker assemblies - New Running boards with thick German moldings - Original (rechromed) Outside Door handles - New horn grills - New Fog Lights - All new correct style interior from Sewfine, hand hidden stitched. - All new engine parts to rebuild original engine to spec perfect, (have receipts) - All new mechanicals throughout And much more.... too much to list.
