Vehicle Detail
Seller reserves right to sell item locally and end auction at any time. This is a ridiculously low offer and well worth the buy it now price. 1967 Jeepster originally manufactored by Kaiser Jeep. Have original service manual and purchase invoice; I am the second owner of this vehicle and have had it since 1985. Very little of this vehicle remains original as I struggled for years trying to acquire OEM parts and quickly modified any that needed repair or replacement. This is an excellent project Jeep requiring a little TLC which will provide years of enjoyment. The OEM 225ci Dauntless Buick V-6,dual-barrel replaced with a Chevy small block 5.7 liter V8 (Advance Auto Part #708340), Edelbrock 2101 Performer Intake Manifold and Edelbrock 1406 600cfm Carburator, mated to a Chevy TH400 autormatic transmission, rebuilt with <1000 miles. Vehicle has a Stainless Steel Exhaust with 2 1/4 Turbo Mufflers. Cooling is provided by a 16" Electric fan and new Jeep radiator (part #1R583). Custom rollbar, rear bumper and stainless steel dash with AutoMeter Street Rod Series guages 3 1/8 Speedometer, 3 1/8 Electronic Tach, 2 1/16 Electric Clock, 2 1/16 Volt Meter, 2 1/16 Oil Pressure and 2 1/16 Fuel Level. Also has a custom aluminum gas tank. Vehicle standing on four 33" 12-50 GoodYear LT Tires (<1000 miles) in excellent condition. Right front fender fits 1955-71 CJ. 2" Body lift, 4X Rancho Softride Nitro Shocks w/boots. New CJ Front Bumper, parking lamps and headlight bezels. Rear bumper is custom with allowance for spare tire. Frame was completely sand blasted, repaired where needed and coated in Coal Tar Epoxy as was the undercarrage. Vehicle has the original soft top collapsable frame (very rare, hard to find). Front axel is upgraded from CJ7 with disc brakes - pretty sure it is a DANA 30, 46-13, 3.54; tag # 5359016. I have many original parts boxed up and will provide to buyer. Couple of additional notes: While restoring body-off frame the rear wheel wells were rewelded which burnt the paint, hence the arched marking over the rear wheels in the pics. Power steering added from a later model Commando; brake booster added from a late model truck. The steering column isn't original - Chevy S-10 as I recall- been a while. The steering is squirly due to two universal joints to clear the massive brake booster. I'ver personally driven the vehicle with this steering over 15k. Rear and Front Differentials are different ratio, I wasn't able to match during front end upgrade to disc brakes, so 4 wheel is currently disabled by removing front drive shaft. The "Red Top" Battery depicted in the picture is NOT included. Again, I recommend this vehicle be used as a project Jeep - I only say this because it will require some work, i.e. - new seats, top, etc. It has a lot of potential which is why I have kept it around for so long. It truly upsets me to sell my Jeepster but I have procrastinated long enough and only hope my lifelong project is completed by someone with the skill and time it deserves. Best of luck and thanks for your interest - Cheers! Additional notes: The top's (material-cloth) itself is in bad shape and will need to be replaced. "Front axel is upgraded from CJ7 with disc brakes - believe it's a DANA 30, 46-13, 3.54; tag # 5359016", also found A039 78 on side of Diff. Transfer case, has numbers G18-15-24-2, 300596 16, G18-19-44, Dana D-23 and rear axel 994198, 43-13 10 bolt.
