Here is a 1956 Chevy shorty wagon that started life as a 210 2 door wagon. Came with 265v8, automatic tranny. Has been transformed into a shorty wagon with 86 inch wheel base. Custom pneumatic tilt front end with onboard air compressor. 350 plus horsepower 327 from a 1968 Z28 Comaro. Block casting number 3914678 and a turbo 400 trans. Drum brakes and no power steering. Tailgate has been transformed into a one piece lift gate. (see picture) Was built in early 70's and could use body work and fresh paint. Body has filler in typical places for 56. Fender headlight eyebrows. Passenger side rear wheel well and on top where it was seamed. Dash is almost perfect with original radio non-working. Interior has been redone including new headliner. Power drivers seat and carpet in cargo area. This car is alot of fun to drive and gets more attention than a pork chop in a pack of wild dogs, lol. Engine runs good, no noises, knocks or smoke. Tranny shifts fine. Brakes work good also has tilt steering column. List below of upgrades and non working items New lower ball joints, outer tie rod ends and idler arm. Rebuilt Holley 650 4 barrell carburator. Weiand aluminum semi high rise intake. Hooker headers. Alternator charging system. All lights work including turn signal, tail lights, brake lights, head lights, 327 marker lights and high beams. Mallory electronic ignition including distributor and coil. Replaced electronic ignition module. All glass in good shape, minor scratch in windshield and slight bubbling in driver and passenger wing vents. Has after market oil pressure and temp gauge. Drove all summer and never got over 195 degrees. Non working items: Windshield wipers (vacumn), I don't drive it in the rain anyway. Gas gauge, stock temp gauge, and dash lights. Turn signal indicators and high beam indicator do work. Tires front P215/70 SR14, condition ok. Rear tires are P245/60/R14 condition good. Keystone classic rims all way around. Car runs, drives, stops, shifts fine. Slight pull to right probably drum brake issue. Cargo area of floor board are solid as a rock. Floors ok needs inner rockers.
