NO RESERVE! 1964 Mercury Comet "Caliente" 2-door hardtop. Original Las Vegas, NV one-family car. Car is 99% rust free! Clear Nevada title. 170 cubic inch six-cylinder / 2-speed automatic. Car runs good, shifts, and stops. It was registered up until last year. I bought this car to make an A/FX race car clone so the drivetrain did not matter much to me. The car has 132,000 miles so the drivetrain / suspension is a little tired although still fully functional. The body is in great shape. Super straight and only repainted once a long time ago. Only minor dents and dings. Rust free quarter panels which is almost unheard of with these Comet's. I say the car is 99% rust free. The only rust is on the drivers side rear floor pan (see photo) The carpet must have held water from a leaky window seal. The front floor pans are rust-free. The interior is typical of a Nevada car, sun-baked and junk. The only thing not stock are the bucket seats. They are 1963 - 1965 Galaxie / T-Bird buckets. The dash has also unfortunately been cut for a CD player. The grandson of the original owner started driving this car in 2002 and that was his doing. The stock radio is still there and the dash can be fixed. The car recently got a minor tune-up and fuel system flush. New fuel pump and battery also. It can be driven as-is, restored, or go the race car route. Many options with this solid Comet!
