Vehicle Detail
1967 impala SS427 titled and licensed as a 67 I-SS -427 16887 coded series car.[factory super sport] This car is being sold “AS-IS” for parts. Had a 427 4-speed. I got this car many years ago, it was hit in the right front, so fender, hood and attaching parts were damaged and replaced by the seller, but NOT repaired, aligned or fitted. In other words, the front clip is just hanging there with a few bolts and nuts.here and there. The seller kept the motor. I, way back when, found a late model with a strong 396motor and 400 turbo. I drove it about 20 miles, and it ran strong and shifted good. So we sat that motor and trans in this car. Motor and trans are matching numbers power team. Motor and trans are NOT mounted or hooked up, just sitting in car.[because of my age and poor health could not do car] So the 4 speed cross member is still on cross frame there, with the turbo trans sitting on that cross member. Car has factory 427 High RPM tach and gauges,427 heavy duty radiator (4 core). After removing radiator cap and looking inside the cores are really clean. [looks rebuilt] Bellhousing, and the clutch fork and 4 speed Muncie trans are in trunk, along with the 4 speed drive shaft, the turbo 400 drive shaft, the turbo 400 trans cross member, the A/C compressor and brackets, the 4 speed tunnel factory hump.a super nice fan shourd, a good console [missing G/B door], the clutch fan Car has a heavy duty frame. With factory built 4 arm heavy duty suspension frame set up. They tell me it has solid floors. Main trunk floor is solid. It has factory A/C, AM/FM, with the very RARE left/right front kick panel speakers. Bucket seat car with factory console brackets. Car is a rare gold in color, but somebody painted car maroon. Comes with the shop manuals,[like new] owners manual, and the sept 1966 to aug 1967 books factory chev printed [CHEVROLET SERVICE NEWS] this covered all 67 models in repairs and recalls and tells how to fix, adjust, replace, any problems they may have had also covers the new model camaro, and the vetts..and a 1967 chev dealer yard stick, and a old SS427 hat. Also comes with NOS old fender 427emblems, in the old green boxes. Car is titled and licensed in this state as a I-SS-427. The passenger side rear quarter panel is rusted. this "SS" Needs complete restore, inside and out. See all photos. Needs break work. most everything is there in trunk to make car go down the road... leave it as a turbo 400 or go back to the 4spd setup. In Summary, here is what I was told about the car: currently titled and licensed in this state. Was a 4 speed car, factory 427 High tach and gauges, heavy duty radiator, heavy duty 12 bolt 4 arm rear end. Heavy duty sway bar, AM/FM, factory air conditioning, factory original "SS427" grill emblem, also is the rare gold "SS"factory colored car, about 80xxx miles on speedo. When motor is hooked up, wires, lines etc. it should start up and run and drive good. Here are some of the numbers off the metal tag under the hood, next to the master cylinder (I don’t know if this is any helpful info, but I will list them for you) 16887 741 813B W2EM GG 2Q D14 Z24 4D On Sep-15-10 at 07:24:59 PDT, seller added the following information: I been asked about shipping car, I know nothing on how to do that.I'm not a dealer. but if the buyer knows how to do a shipping, and can tell me how to ship car I will do it.. for the buyer., sorry no pre sales,no viewing of car .because of my health.and no help. the title is good and ready to be transferred to the new owner.remember this is a asis sale car car does roll along.and does have dings, dents, rust, and needs restoration if you chose..the seller is not responsible for any changes, modifications, alterations of any kind to this 1967 super sport ... i did not buy the car new. so who now's what goes on over the years.
