SCOOBY DOOBY ....WHERE ARE YOU !??? THIS first generation CHEVY VAN- CHEVROLET-G SERIES VAN G-10 1/2 ton,"LOVE VAN."... Cab forward design with engine in "dog house" between seats. More similar to the CHEVY II than the corvair. Forward engine allowed a flater floor for loading and unloading,.or just stretching out in sleeping bags.. This van has been restored and modified for comfort and distance driving(or comfort parking), while looking original.Classic one panel flat windshield. The seats were swapped to )high back)seats and recovered.,in thick vinyl AND medium pile tan CARPET covers...added insulation.. insulates the panels,doors and floor,.for noise ,heat, and vibration reduction.BUT MOST of all comfort and privacy...inside....!!! THE motor was restored, by the same shop for over 5 months. I believe that the engine and the transmission to be original. 194 cu inch 3.2 liter, "three on the tree" shift with saginaw transmission , original steering wheel,and shifter. ,all original and works great ! there is always the options of adding a chevy small block. v-8 5 new tires!, The rear(differential) only to allow better highway driving. The van has been with us for 3 years- but spent the first 18 months in the shop. mostly rust in the gas tank., and gas lines..,converting to alternator,,,,,grease, waterpump.fuel pumps, paint..interior.......as original owners passed away....this was a "barn find" that sat for a decade or more in Wilson NC . There is some bubbling or blistering of rust near front wiper and roof. two blister spots. which just began since the van has been waterfront at our home.(eastern NC beaufort county)also some rust spots around rear door windows and top gutter. missing one bolt on side mirrors . these are small repairs- ,,but the parts must be made, as they are no longer available. POLK AND INFINiTY 6X9 s not installed but included,as well ,and a large power amp!.The interior has LED(light emitting diodes) lights along length left and right.,to light your way inside the new soft inside.. . interior is less than 5 months old!..and smells new ! manuel choke- one barrel carburator,alternator - engine runs very well, firm feeling while driving on highway. and around town its just fun to be forward of the front tires, and to feel some vibration from the engine- and listen to it as you are winding out second gear ! the engine bay just beside you is triple insulated on both sides to insure a quiet ride. It is a pleasure to drive(HEAD TURNER !) , and when i drive it- its a 112 mile commute to my home and the office..which makes the ,gas guage and lights all very important.! There are no seat belts, but very simple to install . The . truck comes with 1964 original NC license plate, and 1964 'front 'wilson nc" ID plate on front drivers corner.this is a true OLD TIMER..that needs a good dry home. ** sellers note...this is a mostly toward entirely., original van..and only the oldest most orginal parts used..all the suspension and linkages are as they were in 1964! I am not in the car business or fabrication business..it was restored for my personal use. we have also reduced the price as low as it can go..without donating it to a charity.,for a tax credit. or museum...we also have had folks from or far southern or northern or western states suggesting they plan to drive it back- while i dont rule this out- i would not adise it without at least someone following you in another car.! we took photos of the bottom and wheel wells..close ups..and it looks unrepaired but sound....!!!! not rusting or blistering in the undercarrage..solid ! and please be adised that the buyer and seller must close this deal during normal banking hours EST..thanks again..!
