Vehicle Detail
1975 Suzuki RV125 RV 125 Rover Tracker Big Fat Tires Here is another bike in the collection I will be selling on eBay over the next few weeks. PLEASE READ THIS LISTING COMPLETELY BEFORE BIDDING. Thanks! Photo gallery is below the Description section on this page. This is a very nice, original 1975 Suzuki RV125, with only 974 actual miles. I have owned it since the mid-1980's, and it has been in storage that entire time. To get it ready to sell, all I had to do is put some gas in it and it fired right up, second kick! I blew the years of dust off of it, but it still needs a good cleaning and detail. It is all there except the rear turnsignals and left mirror. It runs great, starts easily, and drives real nice. The high/low range selector works well, and is a nice feature, enabling this thing to climb almost anything. The battery is dead, so I haven't checked the lights, and the rear tire has a slow leak. The seat has a one-inch tear (see photos). The fenders and headlight shell have some scratches, but they are an easily-replicated silver metallic color, so should be easy to repaint or touch up. All this bike needs to be almost perfect is some attention to detail and basic items like the battery, front brake lever, and seat cover. Overall, it would be hard to find a more solid, original bike, with very little needed to make it exceptionally nice. NOTE: This bike is also for sale locally and on Craigslist, and I reserve the right to withdraw it from eBay and cancel all active bids if it sells outside of eBay. NOTES TO WINNING BIDDER: Initial deposit of $200 is due via PayPal within 48 hours of auction end. Balance must be paid and collected prior to picking up bike. Because of time and scheduling constraints, this bike cannot be picked up or shipped until Sept. 21st or later. Thank you for your understanding. The EXCEPTION is if you end the auction early with Buy It Now. If you end the auction early with Buy It Now, you will have the choice of picking the bike up before Sept. 14th, or Sept. 21st or later. Winning bidder is responsible for all shipping costs and arrangements. I can help load the bike, but cannot make shipping arrangements. I will meet the buyer or shipper at a mutually convenient time, including most weekends, for pickup. Please provide advance notice of when you or your shipper plan to pick up. INTERNATIONAL: We encourage international bidders! INTERNATIONAL BIDDERS ARE SOLELY RESPONSIBLE FOR ALL SHIPPING ARRANGEMENTS AND COSTS. I can help load, and will be happy to meet the shipper during normal business hours, but I cannot arrange shipping. Here is more information on the bikes I will be selling over the next few weeks: I have been collecting motorcycles for almost 30 years, as long as I have been a Kawasaki and Suzuki dealer. These have all been sitting in a dry West Texas warehouse all these years, but now a divorce and other factors compel me to sell most of my collection. Most of these bikes are excellent examples of stock or near-stock machines in unrestored but good condition. They have all been stored for years, and I don't have time to go through each one and restore them all to new condition, so I will basically sell them just like they are. Most will need only small amounts of attention to have a really fine motorcycle. I will be listing approximately 2-3 bikes a week, and all I have time to do is the most rudimentary clean-up and make-ready. If I can get a bike running with minimal effort, I have done so, but I don't have time to clean carbs, troubleshoot electrical, fix every small oil drip, or detail-clean and visually/mechanically restore all of them to perfect condition. So, if a bike starts easily without a lot of effort, I will get it running, clean the dust off, and put it here for sale. If it isn't a simple/easy few-minutes job to get one running, I will list it as not running. These bikes were all running when they were originally stored, so even those that don't run should be easily made to run, but some will need carbs cleaned, batteries, spark plugs, etc. I will also list other known defects, but these are sold as-is, and I cannot guarantee that there aren't things I don't know about. Again, most will need only small amounts of attention to have a really fine motorcycle. Here is a partial list of the bikes I will be listing over the next few weeks: 197?
