Up for auction at NO RESERVE is my 1989 GMC 1500 King Extended Cab SLE truck. The 5.7 engine was rebuilt approx. 100,000 miles ago. It runs smooth and quiet. The trans (700R4) was rebuilt in 2008 and approx 200 miles after it was rebuilt it blew the front seal. I believe the seal failed because the dust cover was missing and dirt? got to the seal. I had been working on the body. The original color was white and blue. The paint was flaking, peeling everywhere. I sanded the entire truck down to the metal and primed with self etching gray. The driver door needs to be replaced, I put new pins in the hinges but can't get the door to align. This body is rust free except a little surface rust where the primer lifted after setting for 2 years. The heater needs a new core, the AC needs 134A, the doors need the inside pull straps, the headliner is new, the two front tires have less than 100 miles on them. It has aluminum wheels. No cracks in the dash or console. Seats are great only one small wear spot on drivers seat. The tailgate is new, the exterior door handles are new. The exhaust is new from manifold back. The bed only has a couple of small dings in the bottom. The windshield is cracked on the right side. Chrome bumpers. This is an overall great truck. I parked it in 2008 and started it from time to time to keep it lubricated. You can drive it up on a trailer or tow it. It leaks at the seal too much to drive on the highway.
