For sale is my 2000 Ford Explorer Sport! She has served me well, but as I am leaving for college soon in the city I don't need her anymore. Good news for you though! If you're looking for a decent first car or a cheap ride to get from A to B this is a great option. It is 2WD, equipped with the bulletproof Ford SOHC 4.0L V6. It offers plenty of power and the automatic transmission equipped with overdrive still shifts well. The exterior does show some wear, but primarily on the plastic trim pieces over the wheel wells (easily replaceable and can be found on EBay, of all places). The paint still has a shine to it and my boyfriend recently detailed the car for me, including the engine compartment (see photos). The four alloy wheels are still in great condition and have plenty of shine, as you can see. All the headlights and taillights function, as do the fog lights. She has power doors, locks, and mirrors as well as keyless entry and an alarm system. I have both of the keyless entry fobs and keys. On the interior the dash and center console do show some wear, however the seats and carpeting are still in fair condition. The radio works! It also has both a CD player and a Cassette player. MOST IMPORTANTLY, THE DUAL AC UNITS FOR BOTH THE FRONT AND THE REAR SEATS BLOW ICE COLD A.C. Front and rear windshield wipers still function. I also still have the original owners manual! It is currently inspected in Pennsylvania- Good through January of 2011. It has also had a recent oil change good for another 1000 miles. Okay, now the part that makes or breaks it- Pricing. The vehicle does need some cosmetic/minor mechanical work, it's not in excellent shape, but it runs, it drives, and it looks okay while doing so!
