Vehicle Detail

Normal 0 false false false MicrosoftInternetExplorer4 This is a 1989 Bronco II XLT Mileage: 138,601 (The 68,000 miles I put on it, were mostly hwy miles, non-smoker.) XLT was Ford's sport package, came stock with: factory 2” body-lift, leather wrapped steering wheel, nicer trim, 40/60 bench, power-window & locks, tinted windows, etc. 2.9 Liter V-6 5 speed manual transmission / manual transfer case / manual locking hubs Tachometer / full gauges Air conditioning / Tilt wheel / Cruise Control Air conditioner has already been retrofitted from R12 system to R134a (nice and cold) Factory Roof rack Brush-guard with KC fog lights Set up for a tow-bar (No tow-bar, but has tow-bar pin-brackets attached to frame.) Nice bonus: The manual transfer case has Neutral, to use when being towed. Running boards Bumper-hitch with trailer wiring plug-in This vehicle has anti-lock brakes, drums rear, disks front Aluminum wheels Everything works, it has been well maintained. This Bronco II is in pretty good shape for a 20 year old rig and the turning radius on this thing is just incredible. (Wheel base is 16 inches shorter than the Ford Ranger.) It’s been my daily driver for the last 5 years; hate to sell it, but I have too many rigs, I'm working away from home now and don't need a commuting rig. 4x4 works great, high and low, no noise, hubs are good, and indicator lights still work. Body is straight. I have fixed a few things over the years; 5-years back had the steering gone through, replaced the steering box $480 repair. 3-years back, I put on Firestone Destination M/Ts’ LT235/75R15 these are 2 sizes over stock. (6ply tires / 4ply sidewalls) At the time I put the tires on, also installed new shocks, had brakes gone through, replaced the two front brake rotors and had bearings packed. 2-years back I had a custom “Single U-Joint” rear drive-line installed, about a $700.00 upgrade. (The stock drive-line on the Bronco II came with a double u-joint and that design is prone to failure.) 1-year back ($800.00+ preventive maintenance and repairs were done) New front tires. (The rear tires have 48,000 miles on them; about 70% tread)--- ---{Why?...due to the wheelbase and turning radius on this rig, the front tires wear much faster than the rear so I didn't rotate them. Based on how many miles I got out of the front tires, it'll be about 45,000 miles before it'll need a full set of 4 tires.} Replaced driver-side bearings and had both-sides packed. Front end alignment and brakes checked all ok Installed new water-pump and replaced all belts. Replaced the heater blower motor. Replaced gear in driver-side window motor. Replaced bulbs in head lights. Tune-up (Double platinum plugs, distributor-cap, rotor and air filter.) Oil change. The engine seeps oil a little. 5-years ago Mechanic told me “valve covers”. It does not burn oil. (No need to add oil between oil changes.) There are your basic paint chips, wear marks, two or three very small door-dings, and tiny rust-spots associated with a 20 year old rig. If you have any questions, I will try to answer as soon as possible. Be patient for answers, as I am working away from home during the week. Thanks for bidding. A note for out of state buyers; I believe this bronco would have no problem being driven across the country. Vehicle must be picked-up, I don't have time to deal with shipping or driving it to you. Deposit of $250 with-in 72hrs of sale If it helps with cash flow, you can pay a deposit up to $2000.00 with pay pal. Balance due when vehicle is picked-up.
