Vehicle Detail
You are looking at a true survivor. I found this car in New Hampshire with a deceased 390 ci v8 under the hood. From there I brought it back to my shop to transplant in a new fuel burning heart of fire. A 460ci engine from my 1968 Lincoln Continental. I had purchased the Conti with the intention of restoring it as it only had 38k on the clock when I bought it. However the body work was too far gone so I found this very solid Galaxie to transplant in my 460. Before I did the transplant the engine came out, all seals were replaced from the oil pan up. The heads were mildly re worked and then it was assembled. I found the motor mounts I needed from Crites Restoration and the headers were from Ford Powertrain Applications. The vehicle is complete and all the necessary parts come with it to finish this great older car. I would finish it myself but was in an accident and hit from behind by a drunk driver and my back won't let me put in the time to finish this great project. All that is left is to hook up the radiator, bolt on the headers, run fuel lines and power and ground and you're on the road. As for transportation it will have to be towed but with just a small amount of work you could have a great cruiser. The car isn't perfect, there are a couple of dents in the roof, a small dent in the fender but when it's done you'll have a sweet ride with around 400 hp and probably close to 490 torque. I am selling this car NO RESERVE! So please only bid if you want to own it. I am sure that it will sell for much less than I have invested but that's ok. It's just the way it is with cars. The high bidder will win this auction. If you have any questions before you bid please feel free to ask. I can be reached at 802-598-7919. The car is located in Vermont. Thanks, good luck, and happy bidding.
