Vehicle Detail

136K. Black with black leather interior and black top. Work done in the last 1000 miles: - Timing belt - Water pump - Power antenna replaced - A/C compressor - Receiver dryer - New stereo with MP3 CD player - CV boots - Tie Rod ends - Rear window regulator - Plastic rear window - Battery - And a few other things. What's good about the car: Car runs well, drives, all windows work, top works, all in all, a fun local cruiser. What's bad about the car: - A/C is dead again (needs evaporator). I just had the A/C system charged again a few weeks ago when the oil was changed and had Red Angel put in which should have closed up the slow A/C leak but it didn't work. - Heater core leaks and has been bypassed. Now the car has no heat. - Tachometer stopped working about a year ago. - Transmission works fine but there is a slight delay with reverse engaging (2 - 3 seconds). - There is a crack in the front bumper cover as shown in the pictures. - I don't believe the cruise control works however, I live on an island and the car hasn't gone above 40 MPH in 2 years. Maybe the cruise only works above that speed. - The rear window is already fogged and discolored. Perhaps there is a polish than can help rather than having to replace it again. - The release to open the top doesn't unlock on it's own. You have to override the safety lock to open the top. - The car immobilizer doesn't always release (happens about once every 2 months). On occasion, the car will not start and you need to lock and unlock the drivers door with the key to release the immobilizer and start the car. - Here's the biggest problem. The oil light comes on at idle once the car is warm. I had the oil changed and used a thicker oil but it didn't help. The car still runs fine and so far, it hasn't gotten any worse but if you are willing to do your own work, put in an oil pump, an evaporator and a heater core and you should have a great car. - The car could also use an alignment as it still hasn't been done since the tie rod ends were replaced. - Tires are OK (front right has a VERY slow leak needing air about every 2 months) but if you planned on keeping this car long term, you may want to throw a set of tires on it and do an alignment. I want to disclose everything I can about this car. It has been troublesome for me however, this would be a good car for someone that is familiar with Audis and can do their own work. I have owned this car for over 2 years and have put LESS than 1000 miles on it. I simply don't need this car any longer and don't want to keep paying to repair a car I hardly use. The title mileage is listed as "exempt" maybe due to age or due to the fact it's over 100K, I have no idea but I have no reason to believe the mileage is not correct. The car is located in Key West, Florida and due to the oil pressuse issue, I would not recommend driving it off the island. Towing it home would be the best bet. I have invested more than $9000 in this car in the last 2+ years. A $500 deposit is required at the end of the auction. Balance is due and car must be picked up within 2 weeks of auction close. Balance must be paid in cash, certified check, or via PayPal.
