Miles: 246,236 Condition: Fair Unfavorable characteristics: Outer body in rough shape: hood replaced after fender bender in 2003 and paint job didn't hold up over the years. Couple dents elsewhere on the body and some rust developing, most notably on right rear side under window. Slow oil leak has consistently needed 1 quart of engine oil added every 1000 miles driven - has been this way for at least the last 5 years (have owned the vehicle since 2002) but oddly it leaves no oil spot under the parked car, so it must only leak when the car is being driven. We asked our mechanic to find the source of the problem but he insisted it may actually benefit other parts on the underside of the car since it helps prevent rust formation and weathering of parts. Heater and blower motor works but A/C needs recharged. Also, for whatever reason the yellow ABS light turns on every time the car is driven, has been like this for 2+ years now but I have not had a problem with the brakes!!? The rear brake pads, rotors and calipers were actually just replaced in July. Power windows work, but right rear window stopped going all the way up about 2 months ago (see picture) and left rear window screeches when going up and down (may just need lubricant?). Favorable characteristics: Engine runs great, smooth ride considering the age of the vehicle. Car had just one previous owner. No smokers have ever used this car. Car gets 29-32 miles per gallon highway, has been regularly maintained with oil/filter changes every 3000 miles. Cruise control. Pioneer CD/AM/FM stereo with included remote control. Original floor mats. Underside is in very good condition.
