Vehicle Detail

Super rare J-code 4speed GT fastback with a deluxe interior and exterior appearance package verified by Marti report included. Exterior light group with louvered (turn signal) hood and chrome trims. Rare and original nterior package includes lower AND roof consoles, in-dash tachometer, 2-tone seats, and shoulder belts. The original rebuilt 302 J-code 4 barrel motor runs beautifully with no smoke or oil consumption and also has a brand new Edelbrock carb for trouble-free, dependable driving. The original 4 speed was rebuilt and shifts smoothly with no problem downshifting into any gear. A Flowmaster exhaust was installed with large 2 1/2" beveled tips. The original style "twin-tips" come with the car in case they are preferred. The restoration included a new 1-piece floor pan which is painted to match the car, new front suspension including upper and lower control arms, all new chrome and stainless trims, repainted original and correct Rally wheels, and new windshield. All other glass is original and in very good condition. The original 9" rear axle was changed from 3:25 to 3:00 for today's 75-80 mph highway driving. The underside of the car is as beautiful as the body, if you like the look of clean mechanical parts with no rust. The car was then painted a slightly brighter shade of Gulfstream Aqua, which is spectacular and turns heads everywhere, instead of the original and boring Presidential Blue. Now for the best part. This beautiful showpiece is actually fun to drive because power front disc brakes were added along with modern in-dash air conditioning, which looks very close to factory! Lots of luck finding an original GT fastback with these options, additions, restored, and driveable at this price. My oldest son got into one of the "best" colleges (read "expensive") so I must sell. Serious bidders only please. This is not a car for kids and will only increase in value.
