Up for auction is my 1986 Chevy Blazer. It is the CUCV military issue. First the good. The motor runs excellent doesn't smoke or use oil. The back half of the exhaust was replaced 3 years ago. The batterys are at least five years old but still hold a good charge. The transmission was rebuilt a few years ago and still shifts clean and firm. It has been converted to 3/4 ton axles with HD chevy alloy wheels and has posi's in both axles. Tires are fair, they will pass inspection but will need replaced in the next year or so. The interior is in pretty good shape but is worn. Also the dash pad in gone. The floors are solid except for the very rear of the bed on the driver side(see pictures), there is a small amount for rust that can be easily fixed. The body is in good shape there are two bad rust spots one is the pass side rocker panel it needs replaced and the other is a small hole behind the drivers rear wheel. The rest of the body is solid(doors fenders hood and tailgate). All of the body panels are the original GM Parts from 1986 except the driver door I replaced it with aftermarket when I bought it. Now for the bad. The blackout lights do not work. The wiring at the bumpers need repaired for them to work. The second generator needs rebuilt, it doesn't charge. And the glow plug ciruit needs repaired. I think the controller card is bad. I have the system bypassed so the Blazer can be started and ran. I have owned this Blazer since 1997 and it has been a very dependable truck. I drove it everyday for many years and towed anything i've needed to tow. I still wouldn't be afraid to get in it and drive itanywhere. It is PA inspected until 12/10. It has a lot of life left in it with a few minor repairs.
