Great Beginner Bike. Solid. Dependable. Easy to Ride. Great Condition. 1982 CX500. Always Garaged. Less than 6200 Original Miles. 5-speed transmission Maintained annually with clean oil, filters, coolant. Never wrecked or Layed Down. Currently Insured and licensed. Clean Title. I have the bike serviced annually at Maxim Honda in Allen, Texas. The bike is currently due for its annual inspection and that may or may not be done by the time this auction concludes (if I have time). The bike runs out great and I would not hesitate a long trip on it. I have owned this bike since 2003. It had 2500 miles on it when I bought it from the second owner. Tires are a couple of years old, no dry rot. lots of tread. Bike shows some age typical of a 28 year old bike, but it is as shown in the photos. Known issues include 1) choke pull (below speedometer) is broken but is rigged so that it operates reliably 2) trip odometer stops reading miles after 60 miles, but begins again when reset. 3) some of the chrome pieces show a slight hint of surface rust. 4) some of the Clear anodize is peeling off the front engine cover. 5) Brake fluid reservoir has micro-fractures in the plastic from age but the plastic is solid and leak-free. None of the issues affect its rideability. Carbs are in great shape for their age. I always run the carbs dry after every ride to avoid effects of stale gas. The tank is clean and doesn't show any rust. Clutch feels great. This is a no-reserve auction. I need space in my garage for a new bike. Please make arrangements for pick-up. I will not deliver.
