1973 Jeep Commando Up for auction with NO RESERVE is a running 1973 Jeep Commando with functioning 4 Wheel Drive and a great working Western power angle plow. For many years “Norman” as we call him, has thanklessly removed snow from our driveway but after last winter it’s time to get something a little bigger. The Good: It runs and does have a lot of good parts on it including the glass. Use it as a donor or with a little work it would make a decent snow plow truck again. It has been rewired with only the necessities (ignition, heater, wipers and plow lights) and the tires are in good shape. Since owning it I have serviced the plow unit and replaced the control cables and hydraulic hoses. The Not so Good: This vehicle has long since surpassed its ability to be driven on public roads. The body and mounts are very rusty and the brakes do not function. I believe the clutch needs to be adjusted, when fully pressed it does not completely disengage the pressure plate so it’s tough to put in gear. It could use a tune up and the exhaust is loud. What you see in the photos is what you get. There are no additional parts for it. I pride myself in providing an honest description of the vehicles I sell but I’m not a professional mechanic either. As with any vehicle of this age, there may be other areas that will need attention. I cannot warranty this vehicle nor express any guarantees and I am selling it as is.
