2000 Hyundai ELantra GLS 4 door 5 Speed – 2nd Owner For sale is my 2000 Hyundai Elantra GLS 4 door with a 5 speed transmission. I am the second owner. My girlfriend purchased it new in 2000 and I purchased it off of her in June of 2009. The car has 158,506 miles on it. The clutch and all components were replaced in February of 2008 along with plugs and wires. I replaced front and rear brakes in June of 2009 when I purchased it. The car has a new thermostat, thermostat housing, tires and gasket seals. Spare items that are included with the car are one spare tire and a second thermostat gasket set. The passengers rear window regulator needs replaced along with the AC system needing a fresh charge. The only mechanical issue with the car is the reverse linkage. The pivot joint needs replaced which can make placing the car in reverse difficult at time if you do not pop the hood and lift up on the linkage lever (see picture). You can very easily place the car in reverse however, by lightly lifting up on the linkage arm pictured and manually pushing back on the lever which glides right into reverse. When I purchased the car in June of 2009, it was averaging 27MPG then. I have not checked it sine then and can not verify or vouch that the 27MPG is still current. All tail lights, brake lights, headlights and interior lights work. Please note that I have the vehicle listed for sale locally and include the right to stop auction if some one should buy locally.
