Selling a meticulously maintained, nearly flawless dark green beauty, my 2002 Mercedes Benz C320 wagon. She has extremely low mileage, under 35,000 miles on the clock, which is certifiably accurate. This car started her life in Southern California, then Arizona. I bought her from a car fanatic in Scottsdale Arizona, who held this sportwagon among his stable of german cars. I had the car fully checked out and serviced at the best Mercedes dealer in Scottsdale (Schumacher) and shipped it from Scottsdale to Manhattan, where she has been garaged and pretty lightly used since that time. I have all paperwork you could want to document her servicing and provenance. Tires are in very very good condition, as well as brakes, engine, suspension, electrical, interior, paint finish (nearly flawless - two marks I can see) -- you name it, the car is checked out, maintained, in ready-to-drive-away condition. Car is currently in (light) use, registered, inspected, insured. I don't use her as a daily driver (I live and work in Manhattan, for god's sake -- I don't drive every day. Plus, she is my -- I know you're gonna think I'm crazy -- my second vehicle. I live and work in Manhattan and commute by subway and I have two cars, which I pay good money to garage. Why? Answer below, for you who care to read on). Car is smoke-free, garaged example of the small Mercedes wagon has no history of having been banged up or dented, from all I have seen. Carfax report, etc will back up everything I represent this car to be. A great little sportswagon and a real eye catcher. She starts easily, runs smoothly and strong, accelerates like a Porsche, and handles really well, and she can carry four adults or five mixed in comfort plus some gear. Very Mercedes, very germanic, not at all austere. The color combination is really, really pretty. Professionally installed dark tint on windows is a reminder of her childhood in the Southwest, but it plays well here in the city and supposedly keeps the car cooler -- I like the look, so maybe that's what the former owner meant when he said the car was 'cooler' with the tinted windows. Now, begs the question, why sell her now? After all, I paid a premium to own her -- including a high (although fair) asking price, service and inspections at Schumacher, transport nearly coast-to-coast . . . Well . . . I have a hockey-playing boy and a couple figure skating girls, and it seems as if the family is always heading off to separate rinks or someone is headed out to visit grandma on Long Island, and each needs to be driven there, with gear. This car was supposed to be for the girls and the mom, with my other car -- a Suburban (yes, I live and work in Manhattan and have a Chevy Suburban, as well) -- for me to take the boy to hockey games. Turns out, the mom doesn't like the car all that much -- she wants a Mini. So, I am selling the Mercedes to replace her with a Mini. Thought of trading her in, or selling to the dealer, but their quotes are less than half the Blue Book. So, here you go. I'll take my shot with my eBay community.
