Vehicle Detail
Getting laid off soon, so I’ve decided to sell my 1963 Dodge D-100 Pickup. I’ve had this truck for about five years now. It’s been parked since I got it. I was planning to fix it up one day but finances are forcing me to sell it. As I approached this truck years ago to inquired about it. I was amazed at how little body damage it had as I slowly walked around it looking for signs of use and abuse most trucks from 1963 have! After circling it I was floored! Let me start with the front section of the body. The grille’s two center pieces looks as though they have just a slight bend to them. Other than that, there’s no structural damage apparent. Both headlight bezels are in great condition with the exception of paint chips, but no dents or dings! The drives side of the bumper is slightly bent outward and still one of the straightest ones I’ve seen on one of these. I look for a bumper every time I spot one of these trucks at the wrecking yard and they’re usually beat up pretty bad. Both driver and passenger side fenders are in great condition as well, with no dents or dings to be found! The hood has a small dent next to the passenger side louvers (as pictured). The lower corner of the driver side door has a small blister about an inch in diameter. Other than that there are no dents or dings. The driver quarter panel has four small blisters at the rear just below where the body line sweeps downward (as pictured), however, the lowermost portion where the quarter rounds at the bottom is in great structural shape showing only paint chips and scratches. Working my around to the tail gate. The lower right side has some small damage in which I included a shot of. Just across the “Dodge” lettering is some blistering. The inside of the bed is fairly straight as you can see in the photos. The Passenger side quarter panel has a blister near the lower front corner just behind the door. The rounded lower section does have a slight bend upward. The section just below the passenger side door is the only spot on the outside of the truck that needs major attention. There is a small dent on the roof. I included a photo, but its hard to see with the lighting outside. Now the inside! Its all there! It’s a bench seat that has shown some wear and will need attention. It’s a 3-Speed on the column. The upper dash and its face is not damaged in any way. I included a pick of the driver side floor, which appears to have a piece of metal sheeting screwed down over it. I also took pictures of the bottom just below the floor pans. The passenger side is not covered and does look to have heavy rust. The roof looks rusted, but its material from the headliner it once had. The windshield has two cracks in the center which I had a hard time getting a photo of. The inside door panels are all intact. The passenger side mirror is broken. Now, under the hood is a 227 Slant six engine. It runs very nice! The man I bought this truck from said his dad bought it in the tri-cities and drove it up to Spokane with no problems. And it sounds as if it wouldn’t! He also told me the approximate 59,000 miles on it is original! The carburetor will need going through by the looks of the dirty gas inside the fuel filter. This is one cool looking 63 Dodge short bed truck! Each year that goes by makes it more unique, as today’s trucks are becoming bigger and bigger. It could be driven as a daily driver as the condition is not bad at all! Or tricking it out and hot rodding it would make a neat project! The wheels and tires are not included with this truck. They are off my muscle car. I have some 14inch rims and tires for transporting the vehicle Attention Buyer, the wheels and tires are not included with this truck. They are off my muscle car.
