Vehicle Detail
This car has beautiful torch red paint and extremely clean gray interior, in my opinion the best color combination. The exterior looks great and the original paint really shines. I have had a lot of people ask me if it is a new car just because of the gorgeous paint. The interior looks fantastic too, with no tears in the leather at all. It is the 40th Anniversary year and has the 40th Anniversary logo sewn into the seats. New "Ultra High Performance" Goodyear Eagle F1 tires (then retail $1000 and now retail $1300+) and new brakes were installed at 45,000 miles. It also comes with a Vortex Rammer Air Induction System already installed which adds approximately 20 horsepower and 20 lbs. ft. of torque. I have the original air induction system and a Wolf car cover as well. I removed the CD player in 2006 and had it professionally updated to accept CD-Rs, so you can listen to your own burnt CDs. This does not affect the appearance of the CD player or stereo system at all; it still looks completely original. I have tried very hard to keep the car looking as much like it did when it rolled off the line as possible. The car still shines like it did when it was new, and water really beeds up on it. The interior is also very nice and well taken care of. The leather seats show almost no wear and have no tears or cuts of any kind. The CD player and buttons, temperature control area, gauges, controls for the lights, monitor buttons, steering wheel, dashboard, instrument panel, and doors all look almost new! All lights and gauges work with no problems at all. The car does have some nicks, most of which are on the lower part of the hood and the lower parts on the sides below the doors. You can only see them if you are right next to the car and actually look for them. I have patched most of them with professionally-mixed torch red paint that exactly matches the car and so they are barely noticeable. There are also some light scratches on the bottom of the windshield on the driver's side (please see photo) that are only noticeable in the light. The interior area by the power seat switches has some small nicks, but these are very minor as well. In my opinion, the blemishes do not detract much at all from the beauty of the car. Overall the car looks fantastic! The pictures really don't do it justice. If you take off the top, which locks into the back, it feels just like a convertible. It has a clean title and Carfax with absolutely no accidents or reports of any kind. I am only the second owner of the car. I purchased it in October 2005 when it had 29,000 miles. Also, I have almost all of the receipts since I purchased it and the original manual and will include them with the car. Note: I will just be keeping the front plate cover. It's extremely hard to find a torch red/gray interior C4 Corvette with only 62,000 miles like this one. Especially one that is in such fantastic shape with beautiful paint and extremely nice interior! This is a car for a collector who is willing to take care of it and appreciate it. I have loved driving this car, and I know that the next owner will too. When I first listed my Corvette on eBay, I listed it at $13,900. I feel that the car is definitely worth every bit of that and would not have trouble selling at that price during a typical year. However, because of the tough market I have lowered the price all the way down to where it is now with an opening bid of only $10,500 and even a Buy It Now of $10,900. I believe that this is an incredible price for it. I really cannot go any lower than this as a rock-bottom price, especially since I have dropped the price by $3,000 for the Buy It Now and by $3,400 for the opening bid. These prices are extremely low for this car. I would like to sell it, but will have to keep it if I can't get at least this out of it. Take advantage of this auction while you can!
