1992 Pontiac Transport minivan needs work -3.8 L V-6 with 250,466 miles This vehicle has several issues affecting it, please read the whole description. We purchased this vehicle about 2yrs ago. We used it as a spare vehicle to run errands as needed. We’ve made some repairs and performed maintenance but something has gone wrong with the engine and it sounds like it’s going to “blow-up”/ stop running. THE GOOD 4 brand new tires installed about 1000 miles ago New front brake pads (ceramic I believe) and new rotors we installed about 100 miles ago New front struts installed about 1500 miles ago New Fuel pump last summer New alternator 8 months ago New battery 6 months ago New Starter 8 months ago NV vehicle so there’s no rust Comes with 1 more seat than shown in pics (2) THE BAD Starts but runs rough and sounds sloppy/clunky. This just happened and is the reason for sale. I had a “friend” who started a mechanics shop install the brakes recently. The vehicle ran good until I got it back from him (a week later). They put about 100 miles on it before they dropped it off at our shop. He told me he didn’t do anything to it that would cause the problem and wanted too much money to tear it down for diagnosis. He also said that the transmission is going bad, but it wasn’t the last time I drove it. The driver’s window has a broken plastic slide that holds it in place. The motor is unplugged to keep the window in the up position. When closed, the window is solidly held in place. The rear lifting door has no handle or lock on the inside or outside. But because it is missing the panel, the door can still be opened The windshield has a big crack from an impact The headliner is hanging and has a burn hole The carpet shows wear and has some staining. The seats and carpet were just cleaned. The carpet could come out better if cleaned again with more attention to detail. Leaks power steering fluid, bur just a few drips every time it’s parked The passenger door handle doesn’t work from the outside The gold paint is in fair shape. The black paint on the roof is faded Has scratches and shows wear relative to it’s age Hood prop is missing, must use a stick A/C compressor works but system has a leak. I had it recharged and it worked for about 6 months before it leaked out. They added dye so you could probably tell where the leak is now. One of the side pop-out windows doesn’t pop out. Needs a new lock latch but is secure the way it is. Sold as is. No returns or refunds. Payment must be received within 7 days. Buyer must pick up within 7 days.
