You are bidding on a 1983 Mercury Capri RS 302 High Output Motor For sale a rare 1983 Mercury Capri. It is a low production car the RS-HO is even lower. This not a Mustang! It is an RS (Rally Sport) with a H.O. 302 (5.0L) V-8 and a 5 speed stick. The motor is between 250-300 horsepower. The motor was rebuilt in 2002 there has been only 2-3000 miles put on since rebuild. A new radiator, hoses and hgh performance clutch and pilot bearing were relpaced then. The brake pads and two rotors were also replaced. New tires were put on the car too. It also had a new set of headers put on in 2002. There is about $2000.00 in reciepts for this car. It is a nice solid car with minmal rust. I believe the paint to be original it is pretty faded out. The interior could use a good cleaning front seats are in good condition but the back seat has a couple of tears. Car needs a new headliner and dash pad. The door panels are in good condition. Needs new shocks and carbureator needs some work. The dash has the cluster gauges with functional RPM gauge. Shifter and boot are in excellent condition. The Capri RS is very collecitble thsi one is pretty complete car not missing much. Previous owener believes car to have about 90000 miles odometer had quit for some time but currently it isworking but read 59000.
