Vehicle Detail

Normal 0 false false false EN-US X-NONE X-NONE Gorgeous 1973 Datsun 240Z California Z car lovingly maintained by one family for 37 years. In 1970, Datsun entered the sports car scene with the introduction of the 240Z. With its torque straight 6 power plant, manual gearbox, light weight, and Ferrari/ Jaguar/ Porsche inspired looks, the 240Z it provided consumers with a very high spirited motoring experience at half the cost of the 911. 1973 is a particularly desirable year for Z Car enthusiasts as it was the last production year for the 240Z (the 260Z was introduced in 1974.) This California car has been pampered by the same family since ordered new in San Jose, California. In August of 2007 this beautiful car was transferred to an estate located in Rogers, AR. Upon arrival in Arkansas, it was checked out by the Landers McLarty Nissan Dealership in Bentonville, AR. The condition was so good, the dealership owner requested that we place this timepiece in their showroom for a year from 2007 to 2008. In 2008, this car was transferred to the estate garage. It has been only been taken out to a handful of car shows and to be detailed. Additional details: Interior & Exterior: Clean and rust free – beautiful from the inside out with lustrous paint, clean engine bay, and tidy interior that boasts good carpets, excellent dash and solid upholstery on upgraded Recaro Sport Seats. It even has the original cool quilted looking vinyl in the rear cargo area that resembles what you might find in a Ferrari or Maserati. Paint: This car has always been garaged and was repainted in 1990 with the original factory color “Sunset Orange” using only paint ordered directly from Nissan to ensure the authenticity of this very desirable color. Factory Upgrades: Chrome Bumpers, Air Conditioning, Cruise Control (both which still work.) The original wooden steering wheel, Period slotted Mags, and the cool block Z-Stripe along the bottom sides. Mechanical: Since 2002 over $5,000 has been invested in this car to ensure it has been maintained to factory specifications and upgrades when possible. ?Installed a new clutch ?Installed new voltage regulator ?Installed new fuel filter ? Installed new air filter ? Installed new fuel pump ? Replaced all of the rear suspension bushings and struts. ? The carburetor was upgraded to a flat 1972 carburetor and balanced. ?The original but meticulously maintained engine with almost 32K original miles – this car runs beautifully, doesn’t burn oil and purrs at 60+ mph.
