Vehicle Detail

(added Aug. 23 at 6:15pm) One more update:The tank is in absolutely mint condition - it has always been covered by the leather tank cover. Two photos are available here http://dl.dropbox.com/u/4084814/Triumph%20Bonneville%202004/GasTank1.jpg and here http://dl.dropbox.com/u/4084814/Triumph%20Bonneville%202004/GasTank2.jpg (added Aug. 22 at 2.35pm) Three important updates:1. I will store the motorcycle for one month from August 29 for an additional $100. It will be in a self-storage facility (475 Horton Drive, Roswell, GA?) that is drive-up accessible. It will be accessible via a combination lock. I will mail signed title, or leave the title in the storage unit, at your preference. Full payment is still required by the 29th. 2. Ownership and maintenance history: I am not the original owner. It was owned by a very anal (in a good way) Asian fellow in California. I have all service records. There were three "annual services" done at 189 miles, 3390, and 5400 miles. At 5400 miles, front and rear tires, tubes and brake pads were replaced. Oil was also changed at the second two services. I bought the motorcycle in 2008 at 7100 miles and have only put about 500 miles on it, so I have not had any service on it. 3. It has sat with gas in the tank for the past 13 months and only been started in the past week. So there MAY be carburetor work needed. This is a beautiful bike with very low miles that has full maintenance records and many extras. It needs an owner who will ride it and take care of it, as we are moving to the UK at the end of August. It was stored indoors for all but the last two years, and was covered but outdoors for the last two years. The motorcycle was originally $7900, before a number of very nice after-market extras: 1. Locking steel panniers - perfect for touring! 2. German-made engine protection bars. 3. Custom-made leather gas tank cover. (you can see the straps in the photos) 4. Center stand. Please Read, very important! This motorcycle is a great deal, but it is important that you understand the following: 1. Full payment and vehicle pickup (or tow to storage) will need to be completed by August 29 or sooner, with no exceptions. Please don't bid on this bike if you are not going to be able to do this. 2. This vehicle is sold as-is. It runs fine and was started on the day of listing, but there is no implied warranty. 3. It appears that the vehicle may need a new battery. While the battery holds some charge, it is not yet holding enough to make the engine turn over, so it currently has to be jumped. I am trying to trickle-charge it, but no promises. 4. It also is currently filed as "planned non-operational" in California - so it will need current plates before you can ride it. 5. It has been stored covered under a carport for the past 12 months, but has not been driven. It starts and runs fine (except for battery). 6. The is a bit of rust on some parts, including the outside of the chain. I tried to illustrate this in the pictures. Please contact me for additional pictures, questions, or to inspect in person.
