Vehicle Detail

Completely original 1973 Mustang Mach 1 with California blue plates and zero rust, ever. Numbers-matching car with H Code 351 Cleveland. Paint and interior untouched original. Engine hits evenly on all cylinders, sounds tight an healthy. This is an excellent starting piece for both a light redo or full restoration. Cars that are all-original paint generally look the best after being repainted, because there is no prior body work to correct. The solid nature of this car, with zero body rust anywhere, also makes it easy (and inexpensive) to redo. The engine does not need to be redone at all, it runs well. The car has been in storage for a number of years, but we rebuilt the carburetor this week and started it up, and the engine is definitely tight. A mild cam was installed some years ago by the long-term (second) owner of the car. I believe he rebuilt the engine just prior to parking the car. He meant to restore it at some point, but family responsibilities encroached on those plans. The car has had just two owners. Please email any questions, and see 100-plus pictures at the following link: On Aug-20-10 at 10:33:58 PDT, seller added the following information: Please click on the following link to see 100-plus pictures: http://picasaweb.google.com/dustycars/1972MustangMach1# Note: This car just came out of long-term storage. We put fresh gas to the carburetor directly and started the car to check the engine, and the engine is definitely sound with even compression on all cylinders. It sounds very good. We have not cleaned the gas tank out, which should be done because old gas goes bad. We have not road tested the car either, because the tank should be cleaned before the car is driven anywhere. Thanks again for looking.
