The Viper just had a full inspection, and passed with flying colors. It was performed by renown Northern California Viper Tech Ted May at Valaya Racing in San Jose, CA. While there it was also treated to an oil change. Ted said that this is the cleanest 96' Viper he's seen in years. This is an original California car that's been garage kept, winter and summer, and it's never seen rain or snow. It has the factory optional hard top, factory soft top, and removable side windows. This car is the Carol Shelby Edition which is one of only 324 that Dodge produced to honor the legendary man. The Carol Shelby Edition is Wimbledon White with Guardsman Blue metallic racing stripes, and blue leather wrapped steering wheel, shifter and hand brake grip. Speaking of the leather wrapped steering wheel, this one is perfect. Many I see are wearing out, but not this one, it's pristine. I've had this car for seven years, and although I've only put 7,000 miles on her, it's been a great car. Performance is nothing short of spectacular, yet at the same time it's tame as a kitten when you want it to be. The exhaust sounds great at full throttle, but at cruising speed it's very quiet. In the San Francisco Bay Area where I reside, there's a multitude of pricey cars, but nothing gets the looks and interest of a Viper. It's a pleasure to drive, and it's a great conversation item anywhere you take it. I hate to sell it, but it's time to let the next owner take the reigns and enjoy this truly legendary American icon.
