Along with a complete restoration down to every spoke by our in-house artist, this CB550Four received a new OEM frame and new OEM swingarm in the Spring of 2007. It was only after the purchase of the original motorcycle in the fall of 2006 that we realized that the frame and swingarm were untrue. The man pictured on the restoration and frame swap is responsible for over two hundred complete restorations which have been featured in the Discovery and Science channels. The new frame was not stamped but the clear title remains, clear. This CB550F has been enjoyed for a few thousand miles of riding since the restoration. Although a beautiful example, this motorcycle was reconditioned to be a rider, not a show piece. The only blemishes that were not repaired are the weather cracks on the face of the odometer and the dent on the right side lower muffler. Although a beautiful piece that could easily be brought up to compete in shows and etc., it truly is a beautiful riding bike.The CB550F combines decent power with a much lower weight than that of the CB750F and many motorcyclists will agree that the CB550F is a better overall package.
