This is my personal car for almost 25 years. It is only being sold since I have finished a frame off restoration of another 57 thunderbird. This car was sold several months ago and deal fell apart. Since then I decided to repaint the entire car so new owner will have nothing to complain about. This is a professional repaint with base coat clearcoat urethane and is beautiful. Body is laser straight, but it was before, there were two small knicks that bothered me. This car was frame on restored around 10 years ago again by myself. The inner rockers were replaced, otherwise all sheet metal is original to the car. I purchased this car from original owner around 1982. I have driven is to Dallas for national show in 1984, this car is a constant show winner. All chrome, stainless are replated or replaced with nos Ford parts. I have full paperwork documenting mileage and anything that has ever been done from the car since new. The engine top end was redone with hardened seats around 1990, transmission was completely rebuilt last year. Soft top is completely restored last spring and is brand new. The hardtop is rare non porthold and is unrestored, but it complete. It really could be repainted and weatherstrip replaced. The engine compartment is detailed correctly with fomoco hoses, correct clamps, yellow top coild etc.. etc. It shows a little ware, but is still very nice. Car can be driven anywhere with no worries. Please ask questions before you bid. This is not a fire sale but an opportunity for someone to own a classic. The windshield has a small wiper scratch, above eye sight line, and original vacuum wipers do not work. Everything else works correctly, including original town and country radio. Car has radial tires and like new kelsey hayes wires, and fender skirts are nos with part numbers inside still visible. Dash , carpeting seatcover was all replaced with I restored the car and is still like new.I will end auction early for serious buyers only with non refundable down payment.
